Just ducky!
I was a little early for an appointment at my old uni the other morning and just happened to have my camera on me. So I wandered down to the lakes to visit my avian friends rousing themselves in the morning light...
...but not all of them were pretty morning sights...
Despite this unfriendly counternance this feisty fellow had found himself a lovely young lady.
Though the neighbours didn't seem altogether impressed.
This fine specimen huffed away into the undergrowth
though I was too distracted to offer him sympathy when I spotted this little fuzzball all alone, no mother-duck in sight :-(
A challenge not to pick the poppet up and take it home, bu I'm sure mother duck quack-quacked and came back and everything turned out just ducky!
