This June, we hold true to the Mayhem tradition, kicking off our fifthBirthday with a party of epic proportions! With a killer line up andinsane production to celebrate five huge years of total Mayhem anddedication to providing the best events for you to dance the nightaway, we’re going to make sure that this is one Birthday party youdon’t want to miss!

Mayhems giant main room gets the full birthday treatment with thereturn of our most requested artist ever, Alek Szahala! The onslaughtcontinues with some of the worlds biggest names in Hard Dance to ensurethat not a spare moment is wasted on the dance floor – Once the needlehits the first record, you won’t be leaving until the last beat isdropped!

The Godspeed Hardcore room will feature Australia’s undisputed kings ofhardcore! The Brisbane Hardcore Crew are second to none in theirexceptional experience in Dutch Hardcore within Australia and theirreputation as the Hardest DJ’s this side of Holland is ready to beproved once more on this massive night!

The Freeform and Happy Hardcore room will give you something to reallysmile about, with FiNRG’s DJ RX! Top shelf Happy Hardcore producersWeaver, Antix and Haze rip it up and get set to take the tempo toanother level! Add to that our twin head multicolour laser rig andintelligent lighting rig and there’s nothing that can stop this roomfrom blasting off to another dimension!

A fully themed Chill Zone will include Psy-Trance beats, funky houseand progressive withfull UV theming to chill out with all your mates!

ALEK SZAHALA – LIVE – FINRG RECORDINGS - FINLAND

Alek Száhala got interested in producing music straight after he gothis first sound card in 1993. He made lots of minor BBS and internetreleases using names BwD and Apofish during the following eight years.In 2003 Alek was first time seriously noticed by finnish harddance DJsand promoters. Later in the very same year he played his first live setat Säde club and got his first record contracts from ElectronicaExposed.
After year 2003 Alek has gained more reputation in Finland as well asin international scene. Among the vinyl releases through Camel Records,Finrg recordings and Electronic, some of his most played tracks'Ngarnuuk' and 'Man eaten' were also included in Proteus' new mixtape:'The Hellfire Club' released by brand new Finnish label Teflon Bullet.
Alongside with Carbon Based, Re-form, Epilim and Pain on Creation, AlekSzáhala has been one of the key members in the developement of Finnishhard dance sound (Finrg). His music varies from very melodic trance andtrancecore to dark, fast and evil hardnrg.




RX – LIVE – FINRG RECORDINGS - FINLAND

His energetic stageshows, unique combination of mixing and scratchingemphasized by furious NRG and freeform has gained him a respectablestatus in Finnish hard-dance scene and he now tours Finland on monthlybasis. His mix-cd series 'Codex', which has now reached its 3rd part,has gained him quite a reputation throughout the global hard dancecommunity.




CARBON BASED – LIVE – FINRG RECORDINGS - FINLAND

Best known for their highly energetic appearances, Carbon Based leavesno one cold when it comes to Live PAs. They have performed in most ofFinland's popular events like Säde, Koneisto, Movement, FINRG Tour andRush. During the last few years Carbon Based has performed in more than50 events. Their international debut took place in December 2003 inElation Christmas Carnage, London. In July 2004 Carbon Based did anAustralian mini-tour with appearances in Hard Kandy, Melbourne and onthe main arena of the massive Winter Enchanted, Adelaide. In additionto the live PAs, DJ gigs are also done on a regular basis by Ari asE-nrg, Toni as Big Mistake and Teemu as Drumhead. Carbon Based hasperformed with well-known acts such as Proteus, Yoji Biomehanika, KevinEnergy, Paul Glazby, Scott Project, Teebee, Überdruck, Organ Donors,Danny D and Fausto just to mention few.




E-NRG – DJ SET – FINRG RECORDINGS - FINLAND

Ari Virtanen (aka E-NRG) has been DJing seriously since late 90s, whenhe purchased a pair of 1200s and spent all his money on vinyls. Sincethen he has already played in dozens of events in all the major citiesof Finland, alongside all top national DJs and some internationalguests. He has played abroad once in London and twice in Australia.

He started by spinning dark hard-nrg from artists like Lab 4, Karim,Choci, and Captain Tinrib. After 2000 he developed his style along amore melodic and emotional direction while still keeping the fast paceand hard-edged elements of his sets. Currently his freeform sets areinfluenced by Carbon Based, Alek Száhala, Pain on Creation, Re-form, DJRX, Kevin Energy, Sharkey, Oli G and Mexican. E-NRG has recently playedmany techno and hard dance sets in Finland. Techno sets are influencedby Dave the Drummer, Alex Calver and Oliver Klitzing just to name afew.

He is a full member of Carbon Based and CB studios in Lahti. Inaddition to DJing he tours with Carbon Based, develops the Finnishfreeform scene and recruits new talents for their labels FINRG andFINRG Hard. His future will involve more touring, more producing, moreexperiencing, and more enjoying life.

ALEX KIDD - GOODGREEF - UK

There has been so many artists I draw inspiration from but if I’m beingtotally honest I get a lot of my energy from the crowd. When I know I’mthe first d.j. to play a certain track, I get so excited to see thereaction from the punters. Over the years I have learnt so much aboutmixing tunes and I feel I have a style that really boosts the crowdwhen they need it. I mix records in a way that keeps me excited and onmy toes and when im jumpin about or when im in “alex kidd mode” thecrowd can see how much work I have put into preparing my sets and thebuzz I get in return is amazing.
In terms of other influences, my partner in crime Gaz West aka DbDdefinitely has a role to play in my sets. Not just because I play hisnewest tracks months before other dj’s, but also because his love formusic has really opened up my eyes as to how much is really going onout there.




WEAVER – RAVERBABY RECORDS – UK/SYD

For the past 8 years, music has been the passion behind WEAVER, fromDJ’ing to producing, WEAVER is well known throughout the rave scene, hehas built up a strong fan base and reputation as Australia NO1 hardcoreDJ/PRODUCER leading him to be signed to the WORLDS NO1 hardcore recordlabel RAVER BABY RECORDS.

In the summer of 2000, WEAVER started getting regular bookings onSydney’s underground rave circuit. From the HAPPY SNAX, LIBERATION,LOGIC & BACK 2 BASIC parties to the MYSTIC, HYPERSPEED, HELTERSKELTER & SCATTERED parties. From 2002 onwards he was a regular onall rave events and in huge demand he has now secures residencies atSydney biggest rave parties FANTASIA, GODSPEED, TWO TRIBES, UTOPIA& PROPHECY. After conquering Sydney, he then traveled interstate toplay the biggest parties in BRISBANE, ADELAIDE, CANBERRA, PERTH andCAIRNS. As WEAVER’S name became internationally known for his releases,he then toured to NEW ZEALAND and the ENGLAND (UK) playing one of theworld’s biggest hardcore event’s HARDCORE TILL I DIE!




URAKEN - U-DIGITAL - JAPAN

DJ Uraken is at the forefront of the Japanese Hardcore scene.
In 1996, he pioneered the monthly rave party, 'Hardcore Kitchen' . Thiswas the first event of its kind in Japan which showcased UK style ravemusic.
Uraken's releases include the mix cd 'Happy Mania' (Polydor) and also'DJ Uraken/ I Need Your Lovin', the 12 inch single released fromlegendary UK hardcore label, Remix Records. From May 2001, Uraken hasplayed at prominent UK rave events, and further toured the world withhis unique style of uplifiting happyhardcore from a country that no oneexpected! He released the hardcore anthem Misono/Konomama (UrakenRemix) from Masterwax (UK).　DJ Uraken also started a live streaminginternet radio show on the worlds most popular hardcore website,'happyhardcore.com' and thus the stage for his activities is set to gofar and wide beyond the Japanese scene.



ANTIX - EXECUTIVE RECORDS - SYD

Antix has lived, and breathed music from an early age in life. Pickingup clarinet an early age by high school he was not only playing andteaching clarinet but also sax and flute. He also took up guitar, bassand piano and was playing with the Sydney Youth Orchestra and his ownrock/grunge band. Antix left school in year 10 and went to study AudioEngineering at the Australian Institute of Music from which hegraduated in 2003 with a Degree in Music majoring in Audio Engineering.
Antix starting deejaying in late 2001 and began producing in mid 2003,since then he has been Haze’s right hand man on the only AussieHardcore label Executive Records. Producing his own unique brand ofhardcore with driving bass, soaring leads and hectic acid lines antixis one man you can’t miss ripping up the mayhem dance floor. He’ll bepulling out all his crowd pleasers such as Sweet Release, Another Lifeand Hardcore Til I Die. Make sure you’re there for the Antix Experience.

HAZE - EXECUTIVE RECORDS - SYD

Ben Hayes started DJing in 1997, producing in early 2003 and has hadthe opportunity to play at parties such as Utopia, Godspeed, Fantasia,Hard Wars, Hyperspeed, Adventjah (QLD), Transmission, Helter Skelter,Mystic and Happy Snax.

Ben is the owner and label manager of Executive Records & ExecutiveDigital. He uses both these fronts to use as an outlet for hisproductions, and the productions of other Australian artists. Bothlabels have seen remixes from international producers such as Impact,Resist, Oli G and Australia’s very own DJ Weaver. Forthcoming in 2006will see remixes from K-Complex, CLSM and Storm just to name a few.Haze's early beginnings started with breakbeat and Drum N Bass. Hisearly musical influences are still reflected today in his hardcoretracks. Originally a lover of all styles of techno, Haze concentrateson Australian and UK Hardcore and strives to push the label in everyway possible. In 2004 Haze had the opportunity played back to back withImpact (Infexious Audio) from the UK and this event was one of thehighlights of his DJ career. In 2005 Haze has played at every majordance party in Sydney, interstate in Adelaide and overseas inChristchurch New Zealand along side DJ Weaver.

Haze has also appeared on Relentless Records and in 2006 will see releases on Nu Energy, Graffiti Trax & Addictive Vinyl.

By Car
From the city, follow Turbot Street through untill you enter FortitudeValley. Take a left at Brunswick street and right onto St Pauls Trc.Alexandria street is the Festival entrance and this will be about 100mon your right.
Car Parking – The RNA has ample car parking space close to the venue.Also available are the parking stations located in the valley centre(China town and McWirters) and the Valley Metro shopping center (partof Brunswick Street Train Station) also has an overnight carparkavailable for use.
Queensland Rail Train Station - stop at Brunswick Street RailwayStation (one stop north after Central) and follow the crowd to the RNAShowgrounds, off St Pauls Trc. The train station is approximately a500m walk along fully lit roads to the Front Entrance of the Event.Trains will be sheduled to arrive and depart before, during and afterthe event.
