I've spent the evening re-organising my photo files after going on a scanning mission last week. Realised I had a small collection of lizard pictures and thought I might share them here. I like lizards - I think they are cute, despite their ectothermal scaliness. Some of them even seem to think they're pretty hot themselves...

Here's a big ol' goanna climbing up a eucalypt tree after a scavenging mission at the local camp-grounds...

And a smaller local, a forest dragon, just trying to blend in with the scenery.

But the true scene stealer is old man goanna, the lace monitor perusing his realm...

Perhaps I just empathise with the whole reptilian "don't bug me in the morning" attitude...
