It's my birthday and I'll blog if I want to
Hello! Happy birthday to
danthered and to me!
I "celebrated" the day by leaving work early with a nasty stomach ache, but that seems to have gone now. Just as well, as it would have interfered with my grand dinner plans. I made lamb backstrap fillets grilled with garlic, topped with slow-roast tomato and eggplant (with red wine & basil), served with honey-baked carrots, sauteed cabbage and potato slices baked with rosemary, smoked salt and lemon. I'm pleased to say it was delicious (and yes, I cooked my own birthday dinner. The boy was working and wasn't going to be home in time).
So now I'm done with the tasty noms, the boy is giving me a foot scrub and a massage. Not a bad way to end the day, really.
=o)
Aww, and nature just threw in a cute walla-skip to end my day with a dose of cute. It's a rubbish photo, I know (my tele lens is cheap junk), but I did manage to take it from my loungeroom window. I didn't even get out of my chair.
