Cathedral Rock trail
I went for a bushwalk again today, up along the Nouth-West Bay River, and came across the ugliest fungus you ever did see!
Face-sucking alien goodness! It's an anemone stinkhorn (Aseroe rubra, meaning "disgusting red").
I also found lots of beautiful moss, which was a lot nicer to look at.
Ahh, that's much better, and a whole lot less likely to cause nightmares.
The walk was most excellent, even if I didn't make it all the way to Cathedral Rock - I'll just have to do that another day when I have more time (and am significantly fitter - 2 hours of moderate grade climbing is beyond my capabilities right now).
I'll consider it training for doing the Cape Raul trek over easter.
For now though, I have a very full belly and tired legs, so I guess it's off to bed for me.
xx
