Sheep and road kill
Driving, driving...
A late-ish start to the 1.5hr trip to Port Arthur. Surprised uncle and aunt welcoming comittee much enjoyed. So glad I decided not to call ahead. Free entry to the ruins wrangled and many, many photos taken. Found my grandfather's photograph in the mudeum, visited the house my grandmother was born in. Reflected on the massacre memorial and drank in the serenity at the old church. Tired, headachey and dehydrated, relatives bid farewell and driving back. A breif stop at the tesselated pavement to re-live childhood memories and onwards...
Fish and chips and internet to round out the day. The sun has set and Anne will be concered about my wherabouts. One and a half days remain, cousins tomorrow. Home soon.
