I'm a moody bitch sometimes
I got out of the wrong side of the bed today. Or something... It's humid and still out and I'm tired and grumpy. Not very condusive to blitzing the housework, which was todays plan. Bit of a bummer as I've been doing really well all week, only to be a grumpy-bum now the weekend is here. I think I need a swim, but we're heading down the coast this afternoon to visit the boy's parents, so that will wait. Hopefully I'll get to the beach tomorrow, or perhaps up to the rockpools in the hinterland, provided it's not too crowded (which it probably will be, being a weekend and Schoolies. *sigh*). Staying the night down the Gold Coast so Alex can spend some quality time with his folks as well as borrow some tools. Back on Sunday evening for one night in my own bed before packing myself off for 3 days in Toowoomba with work. We're going to trial the Project of Doom properly for the 1st time - going test the process I've spent the last 3 months creating and getting stressed out over. Make or break time, but at least something is finally happening.
I'm longing to get out of the city again, so the situation may seem ideal, but I'm moving from one urban centre to another then onto another yet. Making vague plans to spend an afternoon fishing next weekend instead. Not really out of the city, just up river to College's Crossing but it's still a small reprieve and hopefully we'll return with some new additions for the fish tank. Meanwhile I'm watching he birds outside. The crows have a chick now and are stressing out over a kookaburra hanging about. My vote goes to the kookaburra, though I have some enpathy for the crows with a little one to feed. About to drag myself off to do some more cleaning and try to shake this negative mood. Later...
