Melbourne Graffiti

I'm losing things again. Heading to the pool at lunch time today with some colleagues, so hunted around this morning for my goggles (unused since last summer) to no avail. I haven't a clue where they are! This is the least of my concerns, however, as last week i took my lens converter with attached polarising filter out of my camera bag and now cannot locate them anywhere!! I'm pretty certain both lost objects are in my flat somewhere, but no idea where in particular. It's amazing what I can lose in a small space, and what I can lose in general. I was always driving my mother spare with lost lunchboxes and school jumpers. I've been absent-minded from such a young age - guess it was inevitable I chose a career in science ;-)
Today's images are from October's Melbourne trip as I haven't had opportunity to go shooting since Alex got back form Canberra. For a few more examples of fine graffiti and stencil art, take a peek behind the cut!

This little dead-end alleyway is off Flinder's Lane in the Melbourne CBD. To the left lies a little al-fresco cafe strip, where a fantastic breakfast was had, and to the right a rather swish arcade leading out into the mall.

Black and white political stencils competed for attention with colourful spray-art, all struggling to express a point of view. I was impressed to see such a space, with little scribbled tagging or property defacing - just a little politico-artistic nook among the rubbish bins.
