And the beat goes on...
Well, back at work today after taking a "sickie" yesterday. Too tired and too unmotivated to go to work. Took all my will-power to motivate myself to clean the fish tank (though if you've ever seen my fish tank you'll understand this is no mean feat), do the laundry and dish. I also picked some pointsettias from the garden and was very surprised to learn that pointsettias are actually a type of euphorbia! For those less familiar with botany, euphorbias are generally spiky cactus-like succulents, rather than tall twiggy shrubs. Apparently it's all in the structure of the flower (bless Botanica!).
This morning I had my 1st manual driving lesson in preparation for my new car. Yes, I did manage to stall it, several times, but as the driver of a very old automatic it's to be expected. Half the stalling was due to me slamming on the brakes as I'm not used to brakes that kick in before the pedal is nearly flat to the floor. What to me is gentle braking and acceleration is maniacal in a newer car!
I have decided to decorate my work-space with lots of pretty & personal things in an effort to improve my work attitude. Aside from a daisy floating in the fish tank I have a rather cute SinFest comic and the pic I scanned in for yesterday's entry.
