This is a photo series I've been working on. Those early mornings at work have provided a fantastic opportunity to poke around and take some photos. I work at a semi-decomissioned 1950s-19970s era science research insititute. It was predominantly agricultural sciences in its hey-day and a lot of unused equipment and facilities are just begging to be photographed. Today's photos are of the facilities. Another series is in preparation featuring some of the equipment.
The picture above shows the location of the site on a quiet bend on the river. The shadows through the image are from the chain-link fence surrounding our site. This is how I look out from it - through the fence, focussed on the river beyond. The picture below is the early morning sun highlighting torn fly-screen in the windows of an abandoned laboratory. Behind the cut are a few more scenes from my early morning world.

Morning sun refracted through the green-houses

Almost heartbreaking to see once high-tech equipment left to fall apart outside...

Imagine how the cattle felt

The colour and excitement of a fuel drum
And this one, well, it makes me smile...

Brisbane's very own Roswell
Critical feedback much appreciated!
