I hope you all have a kicking New Year

Alex and I got home yesterday. And we sweltered. After 8 days down south, the Queensland humidity bitchslapped us into submission. We were also very, very tired, due to Melbourne-induced festivites. So we lazed around the house and slept, air-conditioner on full-bore. Woke up this morning with a migrane, so called off work and went back to sleep. Woke again a few hours later feeling a bit better, and was better yet after the boy gave me a massage.

Breakfasted late (after sending Alex out to buy food - sorry Lynne, he was on a mission) and caught up on LJ as the mercury rose. By midday is was 31oC inside with the air-con on, so I dressed and we headed to the shopping centre. Wandered around in my scattered state and looked at 'stuff', had a blissful iced-coffee, some lunch and did the grocery shop. Arrived home in much cooler temperatures and watered the wilting plants and fed the fish, still starving from 8 days unfed. Now I have a glass of cold white wine and a light dinner to relax with.
