shapeofthings: (snuggles)
Half asleep today, so I'm about to go make a second coffee. My immune system has finally decided to stand up for itself and is busily defending it's fortifications from a half-hearted cold bug. The result is I'm feeling pretty much fine but want to do nothing but sleep.

In other, far mare exciting news, Alex and I have decided to call this our Bucks & Hens night. Yeah, yeah, I know they're supposed to be seperate, but this way we can both celebrate with those of our crew who can make it, dance the night away to some banging beats (not to mention all my favourite local DJs), and the icing on the cake: Laser Tag! Yes, that's right, the Mayhem crew have out-done themselves and there will be a laser tag maze at the event. Can I hear a hell yeah? Hell yeah!

So excited. Couldn't get to sleep last night for the freeform banging in my brain. w00t! So who's coming?

Back to work then. Bleh...

“…What General Weygand called the Battle of France is over. I expect that the Battle of Britain is about to begin. Upon this battle depends the survival of Christian civilization. Upon it depends our own British life, and the long continuity of our institutions and our Empire. The whole fury and might of the enemy must very soon be turned on us.

Hitler knows that he will have to break us in this Island or lose the war. If we can stand up to him, all Europe may be free and the life of the world may move forward into broad, sunlit uplands. But if we fail, then the whole world, including the United States, including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science…”

For _cuddlefish_Alex, who'll know what I'm going on about!
