Jun. 12th, 2007 07:47 pmErm, hello Livejournal.

Still not much in the mood for writing, but I'm slowly starting to feel more like getting out and about. Taking it easy has been very good for us. I've been spending time on the things that really count. The fish tanks look stunning, the garden's been attacked with a new bed put in, and my relationship is as wonderful as ever. *smile* Health is meh - I'm not responding well to the medication and may need to be irradiated. This is offically bleh, but there's nothing I can do about it - I just have to see what comes from the next blood test. Mentally though, I'm all over it.
On the downside, my camera is broken. I picked it up on Saturday and it was borked. It's at the repair shop now, but will take tow to six (!!!) weeks to be repaired. That means no camera to take pictures at Pride this weekend (if, indeed, I end up going), and most likely no camera for our trip to Longreach in a fortnight! Now, I can possibly borrow my friend's swanky DSLR while we're in Longreach, but that still leaves the road trip through some of the most scenic parts. I have my old film point and shoot, though I'm not sure if it works, and will need to put a film in it to find out (don't you hate that!). Anyway, boo, hiss, etc.

Work is flat out. I'm off to Townsville next week to put on a workshop, and there's a thousand and one things to do before-hand. I was intending on working over the long weekend, but I collapsed instead, which I think I needed. Anyway, it means there's not really time for anything beofre I go, then when I come back we go to Longreach, then I have a week off to see the parents, do my tax and generally catch up. After that it's back to work with a new contract (yay), a new desk (meh) and a new group (I don't wanna go!).
The (not so anymore) new house is going rather well. It's full of light and air and love. The commute I could live without...
Well, I think that's about it, so here are some photos of the (no longer) bald one. Enjoy!
