Ok, so we're finally online again, and I owe you all a big update, but I'm sick and I'm tired, so you'll have to settle for this.
The new job is going very well so far, but I'm also being kept very, very busy. Luckily Alex has been a capable house-husband and has held the fort domestically. My poor old brain hasn't had to work like this for a long time, but I'm loving it really.
The weather's largely been cold and wet, which means that when it's actually warm and sunny we tend to make the most of it and head out for a wander. Luckily there are lots of good walking tracks within 10 minutes of the city, particularly around Mt. Wellington (these photos were snapped around New Town Falls up on the mountain).
We've moved out of our lovely free temporary accommodation in Salamanca to a little 2 bedroom flat in New Town. It's a little old, and needs some additional insulation work before winter (curtains, a rug, etc.) and is quite small, but it's excellent value for money and we're saving our pennies to hopefully buy our own place.
We do have a spare room awaiting guests...
