They're coming to take her away
Sep. 24th, 2009 01:22 pmThe men in white coats have come to take my neighbour away.
Except they're not in white coats, they're in plain clothes, and accompanied by some police officers.
I really, really hope she's going to be ok.
It's psychosis
It started maybe a month ago, with her yelling at the garden shed at 3 am. We called the police that time, when she was still talking to empty space at a quarter to 4.
Episodes have become more frequent over time. Once every few days became daily this week, and every few hours yesterday and today.
We're not sure who called the cops last night, or this morning.
We called mental health services last weekend, and discovered there really wasn't much we could do other than keep an eye on her and call the police when necessary. Turn out other neighbours have called them to.
I don't know her name. I've never seen anyone come to visit her.
I'm glad they've sent people over to help her. I just hope it works.
