Sep. 16th, 2010 01:20 pmI just went for my customary lunch time walk.
It was calm and sunny when I left, but about half way I got caught in a sudden squall. The Bureau of Meteorology tells me that although the actual temperature was around 8oC, with wind chill it dropped down to -5oC and the wind hit speeds over 60 km/hr. ow I’m back at my desk, the sun is shining.
We had snow down to 300 m overnight. I feel relieved though also slightly ripped off that the forecast snow to sea level didn’t arrive.
Welcome to spring in southern Tasmania.
