At least I won't be bored...
Apr. 24th, 2012 02:42 pmSetting up house by myself in a 100+ year old cottage: if all else fails I could probably earn my keep as a handy-person.
Looks like I may be adding furniture restoration to my skill set if I want to keep the furniture that came with the place from falling apart completely. I'm already tinkering with plumbing and draft sealing, plus my garden-fu is going to get a serious work out, wrangling this mess into shape. Garden plans may also require some basic carpentry, which could be fun (not entirely sure if i'm being sarcastic or not there).
Right, time to see if i've stopped the washing machine from leaking, then to pull my desk apart so I can get it through the door to the study. Going to add to my already impressive collection of bruises. =o)
