shapeofthingsOh gods, I'm having one of those days. The kind where leaving the house is hazardous and I should be kept away from sharp knives left I perform a spontaneous amputation.
Somehow I have actually managed to navigate the streets of Hobart, not once but twice, without running into anyone, crashing into anything or breaking any major road rules. I was less successful in my missions for the day of doing the shopping (forgot the vegetables essential for tonight's planned dinner), going to the post office (forgot the letter I needed to send) and going to the hardware store to buy spring bulbs and potting mix (decided I was actually incapable of hauling 30 L of potting mix back to my car, so ended up not buying anything).
I also forgot to eat earlier, arriving home in a trembly mess, but brown rice crackers, fresh goat's curd and some most excellent smoked salmon later I find myself most satisfactorily sated.
It's a good thing I'm not working Fridays at present, as if I were, today would be the kind of day where at 10 to 5 I suddenly realise that everything I've been working on is completely wrong, I'll need to start again and there's nowhere near enough time before deadline. I really hate those sorts of days.
Anyhoo, I've decided I really shouldn't attempt to cook dinner after all, as in the state I'm in, something would end up on fire/all over the floor/giving us food poisoning, so I guess it's Indian take-away for us tonight. I don't think the boy will be complaining. :p
Meanwhile, I'm hoping I wake up tomorrow feeling a lot more competent and coordinated than I'm feeling today, as I have plans, dammit!
