While mopping the floor the other day I was just thinking how unutterably odd it is that so many people care so intently about who I have sex with and who I marry when it in no way affects them. I mean it's just bizarre. It's like if the world were to care deeply about how I load the dishwasher or whether I mop from left to right or right to left. It's just strange. I literally cannot understand why they care. And then, everyone gets to vote on whether I have the same human rights as they do, and may deny me housing or medical care because they don't like the way I load the dishwasher ... which in no way affects them.
