A big thankyou to

the_karma_army, who's random act of kindness gave me two month's paid LJ access. Also a welcome to a few new friends - I hope you enjoy your stay! These images are all from North Stradbroke Island, where the rich textures of nature consistantly drew my eye. Despite living in a relatively green city, such textural richness is missing from my day-to-day world. Still, the human richness of Brisbane generally keeps me happily stimulated.

A good weekend was had, despite computer problems. We also managed to stay chocolate free - hurrah! Alex took some much-needed time off work to catch up with living. Yesterday we spent the day in Roma Street parklands at a birthday bash thrown by the rave crew that helped out with our engagement (on stage, mid-set at a large-ish event). We were made to feel sincerely welcome and spent a beautiful day meeting interesting people and dancing to fine beats in pleasant surrounds. I hope you all have such happy memories of this long weekend!
