Ending

Today is the last day of my holidays - in the morning I'll be back in the office once more. The break was much needed, and for the most part was everything I'd hoped for. The house is a bit of a mess and the laundry still needs doing, but a combination of prolongued rain and company meant not everything I wanted to do got done. Still, I'm more relaxed than I've been in months (apart from gardening aches) and things have been accomplished. I let my hair down for a weekend of indulged debauchery, spent qualtiy time with friends and the beloved boy, engaged in some championship sleeping and successfully completely re-did the garden (removed all plants, dug out soil, composted, fertilised, replaced soil and re-planted). So tonight I'll snuggle into bed (after I've digested this chicken khorma) and sigh in contentment after a week well spent.
