Waiting for my sandwich to toast...

So I was hungry, and decided to wack on the work sandwich toaster to toast my otherwise rather ordinary sandwich. After 10 minutes I worked out that despite the liitel green "ready" light gleaming at me, the sandwich press was anything but. So I turned on the older, slower, far grottier other sandwich press, which actually didn't turn on - no lights at all! OK, try a new powerpoint - success! In half an hour the sandwich I wanted half an hour ago may actually be toasted!

I love working at a world-class scientific research institute!

Mean while, this is what happens when food goes bad.
