Jun. 29th, 2004 08:36 amWell I didn't manage a Monday update, so we'll have to settle for Tuesday. So it's 8:30 am and I've already been at work for an hour. This is only the 2nd time in 6 months I've got my arse here before 8am. This morning was due to getting up at 5am with Alex, although I didn't leave until 7am when the sun was up and the air was starting to warm up. It was a lovely ride in with mist here and there and beautiful reflections along the river.
Well, the weekend proved to be a bit of a mixed bag. Mayhem was a little bit of a let-down in terms of the music. With only two rooms, both playing harder stuff, there wasn't anything I coul really get into. I was also not feeling particularly well (refer to _emjay_'s entry), so despite the wonderful company, Brett (also not feeling well) and I toddled off early. Got up when everyone else staggered in for the recovery and was sociable for a couple of hours before most everyone succumbed to sleep. After sleeping most of Sunday I felt much better yesterday and, having arranged the day off work, saw Kelvin off to the airport before getting very busy cleaning up my trashed apartment.
After a busy day cleaning my place finally looks habitable again and I enjoyed the company of Brett and FoxyKel for icecream in the evening. Said my sad farewells to Kelle, who is off interstate and will be missed. In other news, Alex got an interview for a lab-tech job that sounds very promising, so please cross everything for him!
Will post photos of the weekend soon. In the meantime be content in the knowledge I'm wearing a candy bead bracelet at work ;-)
