Put me on a rack and stretch me!
Jul. 1st, 2004 03:00 pmAaaaaaaaeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiii!!!
Ok, that feels better.
I can feel my brain dissolving and attempting to seep out through my ears and I really can’t blame it for trying to escape this boredom. I am proof-reading – a task I normally enjoy – and have been doing so all day. So why the pained exclamations? Well, you try proofing this for 5 hours:
“The percentage of taxa in samples that had no preference for a particular substrate type varied, ranging from 3.32% at site 18 to 58.8% at site 16. Seven samples did not contain any taxa that preferred coarse substrates. Of those that did, the lowest percentage of these taxa was recorded for site 25 (0.01%), and the highest for site 6 (13.5%). The percentage of taxa present in a sample that had a weak preference for fine substrates ranged from 40.9% (site 16) to 96.6% (site 18). Samples from sites 9, 12, 16, and 21 did not contain taxa that had a strong preference for fine substrates. The range of values for these taxa was not as varied, ranging from 0.02% (site 18) to 3.3% (site 5).”
*slams head on desk*
Bring on the weekend! I have so much I want to be doing. I have gardening to finish, photos to scan up and all sorts of little treats planned. I’m very tempted to book myself a massage too. I’ve got another 2+ hrs left of work before embarking on a shopping mission with my grotty boy (lets hope he gets this cleaner new job – apparently the interview went well!). We haven’t shopped for 2 weeks and are fast running out of edible supplies. Gee my life is exciting!
