Fear me, I am whiney bitch from hell.

I have been at work for six hours and have accomplished effectively nothing. I've printed a couple of documents, written one paragraph and spend hours posting in [livejournal.com profile] photography. Hello work ethic...

I have gone codeine-free today and suspect much of my narky mood is a result of (a) opiate withdrawal, and (b) nagging back acheiness. Wish I could work from home but apparently there are some meetings (that keep getting postponed) that I have to be around for over the next few days. Have tried substituting opiates for coffee and chocolate: temporary mood lift and return to my normal cheery self, but alas it doesn't last. Being strong and eating paracetamol, resisting the 2 remaining Panadeine Forte's in my bag. And I am so bored...

Spent most of the weekend in front of the computer due to Alex working the weekend and restricted mobility with the general back crappiness. Caught up on some photoshopping but all in all the weekend failed to make my list of all time greatest non-work days. Soooo reluctant to be in front of a computer again today. Of course, this is reflected in the total absence of any work being accomplished by yours truly. Whiney bitch mode has been turned up to full and I just want to go home. Having to rely on others for transport to and from work is a major downer.

Still, playing with photoshop was amusing for a while and the folk over in [livejournal.com profile] photography have given me some wonderful tips for finishing the restoration of my grandfather's photo. Will get a new computer one day and will no longer have to wait 5 minutes for photos to resize. My poor old Duron 800 is looking at a peaceful retirement providing basic Office and internet use for Alex's dad. Tempting to buy a new system on the credit card and worry about the finances later, but as I still don't have a final cost estimate for my car I'm loath to spend much money in case of cost blow-outs. So computers and digi-cams will have to wait. Speaking of cars, the part we've been waiting on has finally arrived, so the damn thing should be on the road ina couple of weeks. Hooray! Lets hope I can master the clutch by then :-)

Meh. Some days I just really don't want to play...
