Digital dreaming...
Aug. 5th, 2004 03:37 pmThis is the digital camera I'm currently drooling over...
It also comes in a 4.0 megapixel version (not up on the review site) for about AU$200 more, which is a very attractive option! I've played with this baby in the shop, and I must say it is a little daunting at first, especially compared to the Olympus 10x optical zoom jobbie, but I really think it's the best option. It can be used as either fully automatic or fully manual, with most every combination imaginable. It would give me lots to learn and I think be the best option as it will last me a long time before my photography requires a different camera. I already have an old film SLR too, so I'm covered in that department. So all I need to do is save up AU$1000+ and it's all mine...
*le sigh*
In other news, late again for work but slowly starting to catch up (on both work and sleep - the latter being the cause of today's lateness). Meanwhile, some absolute moron tried to steal our car last night but ended up just stealing the head unit for the stereo. Bastard! Why anyone would attempt to steal a rusty, beat-up 1980 Holden VC Commodore is beyond me. If they had succeded it they would have been in for a big surprise as the old girl barely runs. But they managed to get the head unit out and we've reported the theft to the police, though I doubt we'll ever see it again. No insurance either, so it's our loss. Thing is, the idiot the if forgot to take the connector clip when he lifted the rest, so it's absolutely useless to him anyway! Yay! I'm kicking myself though - we usually take the face-plate off when we leave the car out so the stereo isn't obvious and so there's little point to stealing it, but yesterday I decided not to grab it off when I noticed Alex had left it on, figuring he knew what he was doing (he didn't - he was just tired). Damn. At least we'll be ultra-motivated to save for an MP3 compatible one now ;-)
So now that's a new computer, the digi-cam, the last expenses for my car and a new stereo head unit. Erm... Anyone know how to rig the lotto?
