Yesterday was set to be a busy but pleasant day. The plan: knock over a fair slab of the housework, duck into the city for Advent*jah tickets, then head up the river to go fishing for the afternoon. It all started out well, but then I stood up from cleaning a fish tank and ouchy! My bung knee decided it wasn't going to play, so after half an hour or so of trying to get it to feel better Alex rushed me down to the physio. Turns out it was nothing serious, just an inflamed bursa under my knee-cap, pulling things out of alignment. So half an hour and plenty of strapping tape later I was good to go. I was also fiendishly hungry, so we decided on brunch at Tognini's deli, conveniently just down-stairs from the physio in Milton :-) A shared breakfast of sourdough toast, poached eggs, baby spinach, smoked salmon, a potato cake and creme fraich made everything better, especially topped off with an excellent coffee and a complimentary pot of arctic fire tea (to which I have become addicted - in fact, I'm brewing some right now). I also splurged and bought some fantastic cheeses, so I'm probably cooking something evilly cheesy tonight =D
