Fortitude Valley, Saturday afternoon
Apr. 10th, 2005 04:19 pmThere are some things I love about living here. On lazy weekends I like to head into the valley and cruise around. There are markets with interesting and ecclectic goods over which to marval (but rarely purchase), ethnic grocers from whom I source my galangal, moong dahl and shrimp paste, food from all over the east and a melting pot of humanity more diverse than anywhere else this city offers...

Indian sweet stall man, The only time I've seen him smile is when I asked to take his picture :-) His rose and pistachio flavoured confections an exotic treat.

Sock punks! Too aloof to acknowledge the camera while talking to a fellow punk, despite happily chatting to me earlier.
