Queen's Birthday Afternoon

It's been a quiet day on SmileyStreet this balmy monarchists holiday. The day began with computer worries now resolved, though unaided by spilling a full mug of tea over the mouse. The scroll wheel is working intermittantly as evaporation does it's thing. Breakfast of prosciutto, balsamic mushrooms, basil, baby spinach and pecorino omlette with lekkerbrot toast. Computer-ridden misery as a gorgeous day murmurs of picnics and scenic drives. Presentation growing s l o w l y as procrastination is embraced.

They boy makes himself useful while I'm busy, mopping up tea spills, cleaning fishtanks and servicing the car. I'd kill for distractions and something more stimulating than interpreting vagueries. At present I just don't care about the interview. I'll finish everything, I'll prepare, but I've had enough of caring for now. I think I breached my stress limit and my brain has declared a holiday just a few days short of the light. Never mind, my mental health is more important tham my pay packet and I'll pull it all together in the end. After all, I always do.
