Let's blow up the excavator!
Sep. 27th, 2005 07:05 pmOMG there's this wet stuff falling from the sky!
Not at work today. Taking tomorrow off too. Although I've finally started to feel better (after barely being vertical for 3 days) I'm still coughing like a chain smoker and am very low on energy. Heading to the doctors in the morning to see about my cough and get a certificate. Time to get myself properly well as I've been sick on and off for the best part of a month now!
Seems everyone had a really good time at Godspeed, and the crew ended up back at ours, so I got the low down and to spend a little time with my friends <3 Been chatting witht he production crew and have volunteered the boy and I to help out with decor etc. next time - the events are well staged with excellent sound and staff, but the chill areas suck arse! Very excited about possibly getting involved! Amanda, I may need to pick your very talented brains!
Speaking of banging music, I'm currently listening to Alek Szahala, who rocked my socks at Mayhem back in June. Lots of MP3's on the site, including this recording of his Mayhem set!
I'm definatly feeling better seeing as i'm interested in music and craving curry for dinner (although I suspect I want curry so I might actually taste something! My tea this morning tasted like water dammit!
Anyway, my favourite hero, Alex has been investigating the roadworks. He's talked to the foreman of the work crew, the gas company and council, complaining about the noise and proposing alternative solutions. Meanwhile, we're camping in the lounge room where it's a little quieter and the white noise from the fish tank helps me sleep through it. Hopefully something will come of all of Alex's hard work soon because we both need our sleep. Alex wants to take me to Parklife this weekend as consolation for missing Godspeed, but I think we'll both need a quiet weekend at home. We shall see...
