Pool went well yesterday - 24 laps, which isn't bad considering it's been 10 months. A couple of swim related injuried though, including a dislocated finger from a mid-lane collision at full sprint o_0. Next time I will find my goggles too! Surprised how well I coped with it too, which suggests that the month break form much physical activity has actually been beneficial (back and knees behaving reasonably well, lingering cough just about cleared up, torn cycling muscles healed) without too much loss of fitness. Thus, the plan has been born: cycle to and from work Monday and Friday, pool on Wednesday. That still gives me recovery time and free weekends, with the added bonus that I find swimming mentally and spritually refreshing.

More old pictures from Melbourne, though I have finally charged the camera batteries and downloaded Alex's Canberra pics to the PC so I have free memory. Going shopping (*gasp*) after work today, so we'll see what oppurtunities await. Down the Coast on Friday evening for dinner with my parents - time to show our post-engagement faces (much to Alex's nervousness). Back home on Saturday to take up residence in our neighbour's house for a week. They've asked us to house sit, so there'll be much to and fro-ing over the fence as I intend to cook, wash and live at home, but sleep over there. The dogs will be in heaven though, having their walkers around full-time. Might even motivate me to get back into walking them, though the best part about sitting the house is open access to the swimming pool and spa bath! Broadband internet will be rather nice as well :-)
