It's been an eventful break, filled with both good and not-so-good times, and now the new year has begun. 2005 started beautifully, with sunrise on the beach shared with friends old and new. We stayed for a few days at Ocean Shores on the New South Wales North Coast, where we got to know a few people better and met some wonderful new people. Many thanks to all who were there for making Alex and I feel so welcome and for smiling at our stranger exploits :-)

We arrived home last night, tired and a little frayed around the edges. Today has consisted largely of lounging about, my main mission reformatting the old PC and getting everything up and running as the new system will not arrive for a week or so yet and I have work to do this week. Besides, I really wanted to play with the photos I took over the festive season. The last day of holidays proper, although Alex is taking tomorrow off work for the sake of posterity, and reality is slowly infiltrating my awareness. Pizza and DVD time tonight (with many thanks to new_brunette) while we relax and let the last of the cobwebs clear.
