Early riser

After a week of late mornings I finally made it up for a 5:30am start again today. I must say, I've grown quite fond of the early mornings. Although it's still hard to get out of bed before the sun is up, the peace, quiet and beauty of the early mornings has won me over. This morning, as we enjoyed the traffic-free drive to work, I admired a beautiful sunrise. Then, as we turned into my work, two hot air balloons rose before us, off into the morning sky!
The last few days have been surprisingly good, despite the lingering sleep issues. I've actually been enjoying work after finally finding my feet within the chaos. The Project of Doom is finally in a state where I'm happy with it and on Monday it gets submitted. Meanwhile, I have a short but challenging project to keep me occupied until the end of my contract and the vibes are positive for a new, 3 year contract, in July. Of course, it would have to be advertised and go through the interview process, which means it's no guarantee, but then again I won't be devastated if I don't get it - still keeping an eye on positions down in Melbourne :-)

Very tired tonight and enjoying a quiet evening at home. Hoping to catch up on sleep tonight as tomorrow night we're heading out. Going to reach for the lazers and bounce around to doof-doof-doof music at Reanimator in the Valley. Should be a top night - we haven't been out dancing since early December. *bounces* It's likely that on Sunday I'll be seeing sunrise from the other side. It'll still be beautiful regardless :-)
